Frankalele

22 March 09: Frank Wurzinger, aka Frankalele, is a friend and a funny, funny man. A mostly silent clown on the London cabaret circuit, Frank will not say a bad word about anything. His vulnerability and innocent humour are pitched just right for children’s theatre, too, and he’s worked with some of the best: Travelling Light, Theatre Rites, and Oily Cart. He’s a clown doctor, balloon maker and ukulele player, and likes to hang out at Columbia Road flower market on Sundays. His stage persona is only a slight exaggeration of the Frank of real life: a Buster Keaton crossed with Tigger the Tiger. He is a ‘genuinely funny human being’, as Tim Webb from Oily Cart said, ‘and you have to grab those people with both hands and hold them close to your chest, there aren’t that many around.’
